A week ago the Creative Retreat took place in Provence. We had a wonderful time with lots of new input, new ideas, new inspiration and new confidence.

Every morning we each drew an affirmation card by artist Katie Abey. The affirmation then guided us through the day.

'Watch me, while I manifest my dreams'

was one of my affirmations.

The animal to go with it, was the mole. Katie Abey calls him the 'mole of manifestation':

he sees nothing, but he knows exactly where he is going because he believes.

Bam! It really jolted me.

Yes, so many dreams there. So many ideas, things I want to realize. I'm on my way. Step by step. But sometimes I am on the verge of letting go of the dreams. To dismiss them as not necessary. I try to convince myself that the world is not waiting for my dreams. Or for my ideas. Or for me.

Every time I want to put my dreams on hold, something gets in the way. The fire I feel doesn't go away. The embers don't go out. Even if they're just tiny embers, they're there. All it takes is a breath of wind or someone to put new wood on it and the fire is fully kindled again. It burns brightly.

It gives light, warmth, security. It brings people together.

Then I realize that the dream is important. It serves others. It inspires other lives.

That's what counts.

More than my fears & doubts who try make me believe it doesn't matter.

I believe that God, or the universe, whatever you call it, gives dreams, visions and ideas so that we carry them into the world. With our ideas, we inspire our neighbors. This begins in small ways. With our family, our partners, our business, co-workers, friends, ...When we hold back, we prevent others from being encouraged by us.

You may be thinking, 'Oh, I don't have anything to give.' Or 'I don't have any ideas, or dreams.'

Sometimes they fall asleep. Sometimes our soul falls asleep because it has forgotten how to dream. Because you don't take time to dream.

You have so much to give! No one can do it like you, because you are unique.

Therefore, allow yourself to give space to your ideas. To give you space.

The world needs you.

I suggest you take a moment. It doesn't have to be long.

Pack your journal or a piece of paper and pen. Go for a walk. During the walk, ask yourself the question 'What do I dream about? What do I want for my life?' Carry these questions with you. When you have the impulse to take a break, sit down and write. Write quickly and in a flow. Don't overthink or judge what you write. Just let it flow.

I wish you much joy on your journey of discovery. I wish you to believe in your ideas and dreams and in the fact that they become reality and inspire

this world.

Sincerely

Barbara
